Welcome · How we will work together

How we work together today.

A full day online takes energy. The room runs better when we name how we are going to be with each other up front. Seven things to know.

Principle 01
Questions are gold. Yell out.

Treat me like AI. Do not sit quietly stuck. If you missed something. If something is not working. If a slide moved too fast. Speak up. If you are stuck someone else probably is too.

Principle 02
What is shared here stays here

Examples role specifics and challenges you raise stay inside the room. Confidentiality goes both ways.

Principle 03
One conversation at a time

Voice or chat. Both are fine. I will bring chat questions into the conversation as we go.

Principle 04
We are working on our work

Today is not abstract practice. The artefacts you leave with are built on your role your problems and your outputs. Real not theoretical.

Principle 05
Cameras preferred on

Preference is to keep your cameras on. The choice is yours though. Engagement matters more than appearance.

Principle 06
Drafts not final answers

Everything we make today is a draft. AI gives starting points. Your judgement makes them yours.

Principle 07
Your tenant may differ

Your IT team has shaped your Copilot. Some features may be on. Some off. If a button is missing or a combination is greyed out. That is your tenant. Not you. We work around it together.

A note on energy

Tell me about your energy. Working online all day is harder than it looks. If you need to stretch breathe top up your water or step away say so. We will stretch as a room when we need to. Do not push through quietly.

The question

Share your name your role the AI tool you use at work and one moment with AI that stuck with you.

01
Round the table on names and roles

About 30 seconds each. Just so we know who is in the room.

02
One AI moment each

A specific time something happened. A real moment not a theory. All experiences are welcome.

03
Back in the main room at 4 minutes

We will hear a couple of them when you come back. No need to volunteer every story.

How the thread works. What you build in Session 1 becomes the lens for Session 2. The combinations you test in Session 2 feed your integration plan in Session 3. The plan you design carries into the problem you solve in Session 4. By Session 5 you have real material to set rules around. Session 6 pulls it together. Nothing is left as a loose end.

Help the organisation and others

To feel confident using AI for work that is permitted.

I would like to confidently use AI to be a thinking partner including assisting with benchmarking and evaluation. All within our current policies.

Be able to use AI confidently and ensure I am remaining within our AI policy whilst getting the most effective use from AI.

After the course I wish to understand the limit of security with paid versions. Can client data be used under a secured Copilot tenant environment. I do not understand why there is still no confidence in org approved tools.

Be able to use AI confidently within my assigned work tasks and across my work role.

To be AI savvy and know how to build good prompts with reliable outputs that I can directly apply to my work.

Safely implement AI driven productivity and efficiency gains as part of my role without sacrificing accountability integrity or accuracy.

Use AI to help draft documents and provide information and explore options for the completion of tasks.

Be able to interact with AI and understand what it can do to improve work efficiencies.

Be able to provide consultation within the company surrounding use of Gen AI. Providing input when developing AI related solution and products for the company.

Support my organisation with clear guidance and appropriate guardrails for safe AI use within the public sector.
